Hi, my name is Gregory Rollins. While I have been a technical trainer with over 7 years experience, my career started very differently. I started out in the electronics field as a technician. I worked many different jobs in that field including aerospace, internet technology, and industrial automation. Although I was good at all of these endeavors and I did enjoy the work, something was amiss. One day while working as a electronics bench technician repairing Micro Motion transmitters, I decided to apply for a customer service role at Emerson. I got the job and my career path changed forever. During that time my boss noticed that I was good at dealing with people and I had a knack presenting complex technical concepts into forms that anyone can understand.
From there my career transition began. From customer service I moved into a training role as my skills, abilities, and strengths became more apparent. This multi-tiered background has helped me obtain all the skills needed to do this job effectively.
My technical ability helps me approach any situation with a logical, thoughtful, and thorough process. I can identify issues when creating new training programs and assess the effectiveness of the training. I am capable of learning new technologies and turning that knowledge into productive output in a fast efficient manner.
The customer service aspect helped me understand people, their needs, and how to teach complex technical concepts in a way everyone will understand. It has also helped me become accustomed to dealing with upset customers and turning them into long term relationships.
In 2016 I received my bachelors degree in Business Management with a specialty in Marketing. This coupled with my strong technical, customer service, and training backgrounds make me an ideal candidate for this position. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your consideration.
