Instructional Design
I have had the opportunity to work as an Instructional Designer / Technical Trainer for the past 10 years, where I have developed, implemented, and facilitated a wide range of training programs for various industries. Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated my ability to analyze training needs, design engaging and interactive learning materials, and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
One of my greatest strengths as an Instructional Designer is my expertise in utilizing instructional design models and principles to create impactful learning experiences. I am well-versed in applying adult learning theories, incorporating multimedia elements, and utilizing various instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles. I am also experienced in using e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate to develop interactive and visually appealing courses.
Measurement
Measurement starts at the needs analysis. Measurement is not just to test the student but also ensures the training is addressing the behaviors and is working. It needs to be done immediately after the training as well 3 months, 6 months, and even a year after the training event has occurred.
Kirkpatrick tells us there are 4 levels of evaluation. Most companies are pretty good at measuring the first 2 ,Reaction and Learning. These can be done with simple tests during the class. The last 2 behavior change and the results are be a little more difficult to measure. You do not always have the time or resources but I feel it is valuable in ensuring the training is accomplishing its goal.
Training is a process , not just an event.
Time Management
